RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Notification Out for 6,565 Vacancies Apply Online : The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) have officially released the short notification for the highly anticipated RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN 02/2026). This year, the railways have announced a total 6,565 tentative vacancies for both Tecnician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III posts across various participating RRB zones.

The total 6,565 vacancies are split into two major categories depending on the nature of the technical work and required qualifications:
- Technician Grade-I: 323 Vacancies
- Technician Grade-III: 6242 Vacancies
Eligibility Criteria:
Before filling out the online application, candidates must ensure they meet the specific eligibility standards.
- Educational Qulification:
- Technician Grade-I Signal: A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation OR a 3-year Diploma /B.E. / B.Tech in these relevant engineering streams.
- Technician Grade-III: Matriculation/SSLC (10th Pass) Plus ITI from a recognized institution (NCVT/SCVT) in the respective trade. For certain specific Grade-III Categories, Candidates with a 10+2 (Physics and Mathematics) qualification are also eligible.
- Age Limit (As of July 1, 2026):
- Technician Grade-I Signal: 18 to 36 Years.
- Technician Grade-III: 18 to 33 Years.
- Note: Standard age relaxations will apply to reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicement) as per Goverment of india norms.
Selection Process :
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): A comprehensive online exam testing general awareness, intellingence, reasoning, mathematics, and relevant technical/trade knowledge.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates from the CBT merit list will be called to verify their educational and reservation certificates.
- Medical Examination: Candidates must pass the rigorous medical fitness standards prescribed for railway technical staff.
